I know my love of flowers has been well documented in this blog, but recently I have been venturing down another path and have been working on a range of kitchen art for my Etsy shop. It all started with Melinda’s tin bowl. As soon as I saw it, my mind went into over drive thinking of what would look good in this bowl. I knew the bowl would look amazing if I used the right textures in the editing process. I started out with lemons (I will show you these soon) but then I began to visualise deep red shiny apples! Apples, there is nothing more country home décor than a bright red shiny apple right? The shot of the apple with the heart shaped bite out of it is not an original idea. It has been done many, many times by other photographers, but I just wanted my own version. Below are a few of my favourites from my apple shoot. I do have one problem that is arising from this fruit shooting fetish. I really don’t eat fresh fruit. So what did I do with all those apples? What else make apple pie…
