About

Hello! I’m Julie, a photographer based in Geelong, Australia, with a passion for capturing flowers in a way that feels more like a painting than a photography.
My journey through floral art photography has evolved over time, moving through different styles and techniques. But I think I may have finally found my happy place. I realised that I didn’t want to photograph flowers in a technically perfect, tack-sharp way. Instead, I wanted my images to be softer, more artistic, and infused with dreamy, ethereal quality.
Of course like any artist, my work is constantly evolving. I’m always experimenting with new techniques — whether it’s using Lensbaby lenses, OMNI filters, multiple exposures, or vintage glass — to push my creativity further.
Photography, for me, is more than just capturing an image; it’s about conveying a feeling — a sense of light, movement, and emotion that makes each flower feel like a piece of art.
If you’d like to follow along on my creative journey take a look at my Journal pages, where I share my experiments, inspirations, and thoughts on the ever-changing world of floral photography.
