Australia is really the lucky country | seaside | etsy | photography prints

Last week I took a flying trip up to visit my mum and Ron on the Gold Coast.  It had been way too long since I last saw them.   As it has got a little colder here in Melbourne recently  it was nice to enjoy the mild Queensland weather for a few days.   While I was there Ron drove me to the beach at the end of the day so I could take some beach shots just before sunset.   Australian’s are really spoilt when it comes to our beaches, they are pristine.  Thousands of people use this beach every day and it still looks like this!

As I was flying into the Gold Coast and only taking carry on luggage, I could only take 10kg in my bag.   The weigh restriction meant I couldn’t take a good selection of lenses or a tripod.  I chose to take my light weight  50mm because it is pretty versatile.  I didn’t think I was going to get the opportunity to visit the beach and take these type of shots.    When I saw how gorgeous the beach was I was kicking myself that I didn’t have my 24-70 lens to get a wider perspective but that thing weighs a ton!   As it turns out I am really happy with how these shots turned out considering I had no tripod and the little old 50mm lens.   I think my favourite is the first one though …
