I love this shot I took of these vibrant deep pink dahlias. I took it when I first bought my macro lens and really was just playing around experimenting at the time. Once I started to edit the image I began to notice the beautiful red, pink and purple tones in the petals. My macro lens creates the most creamy backgrounds and dahlias are the perfect flower to highlight the softness this lens creates. Their multiple layers of petals just melt off into the background. If you look really closely at each petal they really do look like they have been hand painted using a brush.
