Steve and I have been doing a bit of painting at home and decided to refurbish a ‘daggy’ old bookshelf. It was one of the 80’s stained pine ones which had seen better days, but still seemed too good to get rid of. So after hours of sanding back and I do mean hours of sanding back ( I was beginning ask whether this would be worth it), we finally got to the stage we could put a primer on. Steve was slapping the primer on so roughly. I was sitting there thinking that I was going to have to sand this back and do it again. But then my ‘photographer eyes’ saw what a great background it would make. It was perfect to use for a couple of items I wanted to include in my current personal photography project. Now I don’t want to finish painting this because it is such a great background for my prints. It is the perfect back ground for these shots of some blue and white china.
