Last year I wrote in my blog about a book by Julia Cameron that I was reading. It was called the Artist’s Way. One of the things that Julia Cameron promoted was having an ‘Artist’s Date’ every week to help develop your creativity. My version of my Artist’s Date is to photograph things that I normally don’t photograph. Whilst I have not been able to keep up with doing this every week, I have managed to do it every month or so. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy it when I do take the time to explore something a little different. Although I love flowers in my garden and in my home I haven’t been really drawn to photograph them before. Until now! None of my lenses were really suitable for this type of macro photography so I borrowed Beth’s 100mm f2.8 macro so I could play around. Here are a couple of my first attempts.
