Recently I decided I would like to take some images of dandelions and process them using some new textures. When I mentioned I wanted to do this, I could tell that my husband Steve thought it was strange that after all the beautiful flowers I had been photographing I would want to take photos of what essentially is considered a weed. I know that the humble dandelion is a weed but when you look at them closely they are lovely. So delicate and simple and oh so photogenic. I love the simplicity of these beautiful flowers or should I say weeds? Weeds certainly doesn’t sound flattering at all does it? But their simplicity does make them perfect to use with different coloured textures to create something a little arty. Just the thing for the special project I have been working on.
