Etsy Floral Prints What I am up to

Welcome 2015 and all the opportunities it brings | Etsy | Floral Fine Art

Well here we are in 2015. It’s that time again when we focus on our goals for the New Year. For me it normally involves weight loss and finding more opportunities to pick up my camera. On New Years Eve I was thinking about my photography and Etsy shop when it dawned on me that really I could/should make these plans every day of the year.  Why do I choose the New Year to do this?   It makes much more sense to  use all 365 days of the year to set my goals and be grateful for what I have and what I have achieved.

Currently I am on holiday so I have been spending more time working on my greeting card range.   I have just received a shipment back from the printers, so these new designs will be added to my Etsy store shortly.   I am quite excited with them as some are quite different to what I have done before. I have also been creating  photography blocks which have involved  me being a bit Bob the Builder, Martha Stewart and photographer 🙂   It has taken quite a bit of work experimenting with different timbers, glue, paint types and sealers.   My aim is to create a quality product which keeps the integrity of the photograph in tact.  It sounds like it should be easy but it hasn’t been.  Many a wooden block have been hurled into the bin.   It has been fun though.   I am hoping to have the first of my photography block sets in the shop shortly.

The weather here in Melbourne has been really hot, not the kind of weather you want to be out and about in.  I rescued some hyderangeas and a magnolia from the heat the other day and they have provided the perfect inspiration for my latest prints (shown below). Hoping your 2015 is all you dream it to be …
