I can’t believe it has been two months since my last post.  Where do those weeks go?   I have just started a new job back in the corporate world which I am really enjoying and Steve and I have been painting the house on our days off.  I love painting the house but I am not sure that Steve shares that ‘love’.   It still amazes me that for just $70 for a can of paint you can completely transform a room with just a change of colour.   We have gone with the very neutral tone of antique white throughout the house which now gives me the opportunity to update some of the prints  and include some pops of colour in our accessories.   We are getting a new look and feel to the house without outlaying a lot of money.  That is always a good thing …

Because of our new light bright colour scheme I have been looking at new prints for the kitchen, dining room area.  My head is full of ideas on what could work well, which is why every trip to the supermarket results in me coming home with things that we do not need and probably won’t eat, but boy they make great subjects for my photos.   The pumpkins in the photo below were the cutest little things, cost a fortune compared to normal pumpkin and were totally useless to eat as they were full of seeds.   The photo of the lemons in the rustic tin bowl required about 12 lemons to fill the bowl.  Of course I chose the time that lemons weren’t in season and I think I paid $2 each for them :-/  I am still scratching my head trying to work out what to do with them all.   I have just bought a great little French provincial inspired basket which I have big plans for, so this food fetish will continue for a while longer I feel.
